Lance “Buddy” Franklin made his AFL debut for the Hawthorn Hawks in 2005. After a big breakthrough season in 2007 Buddy established himself as a force to be reckoned with in in 2008 leading the Hawks to the premiership 102 goals in the regular season receiving his first Coleman Medal. After a relatively quite 2010 season Franklin put himself back up the top of the goal scoring list with 104 goals for the season and securing the Hawks a top four spot.
